Six minute phone calls... Three minute sex... Love certainly was fleeting for Miss Benedicta Manchester!
As the daughter of a diamond tycoon, financially Benedicta had never wanted for anything. Apparently she had a life that was the envy of all others – shopping, clubbing and taking lovers while she waited anxiously for the next phone call from her illusive Daddy. And when life just got too much… or not enough, she drank! But, although more worldly than some in ways, emotionally she was the age of a young teen – spoiled, pretentious and bratty beyond belief!
Her new driver might just have been the personification of a wild Spanish stallion, but he was still just the driver… And impudent! But his tales of his hordes of nephews and nieces and his close-knit family upbringing, and the warm calamity that was his life in general, tickled the edge of her soul like a distant dream. And not only was he unflinching in his dealings with her, but he was bold enough to stomp on her rules! And it was not something that her and her diamonds were accustomed to.

I admit to getting this book because something about the cover grabbed my attention and said "read me". (the cover has been changed since this review) That said, after reading the book I have a whole other vision as to what the female lead would look like. It's hard to judge what this book would be about by the blurb alone so I am going to step out of my proverbial box and write as detailed a review as I can.
Usually I like to just throw my two cents in about a book and leave it to others to write about plot, characters, etc. but since there are no other reviews as of yet your stuck with me.I apologize now for any rambling that may occur.
Benedicta is a spoiled, extremely rich 23 year old Brat (notice the capital "B"). Her father is a billionaire (diamonds) and has no time for her. He currently is on an extended stay in Africa mining diamonds and doesn't bother to call her nor return calls. If I remember correctly he has not seen her in 2years.
She was born for the sole purpose of making her mother happy. Yes her father told her this. Her mother was always alone and depressed. Her husband always off around the world and ignoring her. Long story short, to cope she drank excessively and died when Benedicta was 4.
Benedicta was raised by servants and is starved for attention. She has no concept of real life and acts like she is a 12 year old bitch. Very childish.
I wasn't sure in the begining if I was going to like this story. The Heroine isn't very likable at first but hang in there. She slowly changes through the attention of her new Limo driver. Strange I know and I'm not doing this book justice at all.
She shops for stupid childish things during the day then club hops at night sleeping with a different guy each night confusing the act with the real love and affection that is missing in her life.
Her driver slowly helps her see the error of her ways. A whole bunch of good relationship/trust/life building things happen between them and they fall in love.
Then of course her father finally contacts her and finds out and the shiz hits the fan. I hated that part but hey I know a good storyline needs conflict. Needless to say she screws up but alas this is my favorite kind of book. A happily ever after with all issues resolved in the end.
I didn't expect to like this book so much. In all honesty I was having a difficult time finding reading material and as I said the cover grabbed me.
I'm glad I took the chance on it and I hope someone else will do a better job reviewing it than I have.
Oh there were a couple gramatical errors but nothing that disrupted the flow. The End.
